The other night started out like any other. The boys wanted to go outside, but they wanted to play with the sand table instead of the usual golf or baseball. No biggy… lets go for it.

Next, they wanted to get out their power wheels. OK. Sounds like fun. Let’s roll.

(Oh and I asked Owen why he had his fingers up and he said “It means I’m happy!”)

But, Maxie HATES, and I mean hates the power wheels. She does not like the noise they make so she chases the boys around the yard and bites at the cars. It’s funny… Benny will scream at her at the top of his lungs – “I don’t like that little dog!” It makes me laugh so hard I get tears in my eyes.

After Maxie calmed down, the boys decided to cruise in the yard together in the Jeep. We recently took out the bolt that keeps the speed down, so O can really get booking when he’s behind the wheel. He’s been doing great, but he must have gotten distracted because he CRASHED right into the sand table. Down it went. Sand and all.

They thought it was hysterical. There was no flipping out over the fact there was no more sand. It was just giggles and laughs between brothers. Gotta love it!

Hot summer fun in July

Here are some pictures of the boys (& Maxie) having fun in the backyard… from a “splash day” to cool off on an almost 100 degree day to dessert on the deck. What kid doesn’t love jello!

Mini Golf

August 14, 2010

I’m going to try to get caught up with what’s been going on in our world this summer. I know, I’ve been a bad blogger.

To start, here are a few pictures of when Mike took Owen miniature golfing for the first time. He loved he. He really enjoys golf, so this was a really special treat for O.

Flashback Friday

Labor Day 2006 was Owen’s first trip to New Jersey to visit Grammy & PeePaw Thomas. Grammy brought up a bunch of old toys from the basement including Aunt Susan’s McDonalds set up. Owen proudly dawned the uniform. Happy Meal anyone?

Fast forward to this past June and here he is again wearing the McDonalds uniform on a visit to Grammy & PeePaw’s. Look how much my handsome little man has grown!! Those 4 years sure have flown by!
